In this BAFT Studio project, you will get the experience of jumping into a full-scale film production right away! This immersive, project-based experience will prepare writers, filmmakers, and actors to work on industry-level film sets.
Filmmakers will learn to operate top-of-the-line equipment and practice industry-standard techniques, including storyboarding, script analysis, and on-set rehearsal. Each filmmaker will have the chance to rotate through a variety of film set positions including grip, gaffer, camera operator, art director, audio mixer, assistant director, and director.
Returning filmmakers will have more advanced responsibilities and assist instructors at a higher level with set And lighting builds, concept notes, location scouts, etc.
All groups will be working closely together to develop and produce the film written specifically for the class, which will be marketed and submitted to film festivals for distribution.
