Kasey Poracky

Instructor: Filmmaking

Kasey began her career in filmmaking as a Master's student at The Media School at Indiana University. As an aspiring Director of Photography, Kasey loves all things camera and the creative process behind working with directors to make their vision come to life. 


Kasey has worked as a DP on several productions as a graduate student and beyond, which have gone on to festivals such as Hoosierfilms here in Bloomington and Indie Film Fest in Phoenix, AZ. Kasey's master's thesis project Shift won Best Film at the Los Angeles Experimental, Dance, & Music Film Festival and was a massive collaboration between The Media School and the Ballet Department at The Jacobs School of Music. 


As an adjunct instructor for IU, Kasey teaches courses in Cinematography and Introduction to Single Camera Production.
